Our Services

UHS offers a range of allied health services to support your individual needs.

Mental Health Occupational Therapy (MH OT Specialists)

Our Mental Health OT specialists provide recovery-oriented, function-focused support to help people build routines, regulate emotions, manage stress, and improve day-to-day participation. We work on practical strategies for self-care, sleep, structure, sensory modulation, confidence, relationships, community access, and returning to study or work.

Intervention Planning and Capacity Building

We offer tailored therapy and coaching to build skills for everyday life. This includes goal setting, independence with daily living tasks, organisation and executive functioning strategies, time management, meal planning, budgeting, and community participation, implemented in ways that are achievable and sustainable.

OT Driving Assessments & Community Access Planning

We provide specialist occupational therapy driving assessments to support safe, independent community access. Our assessments consider the functional skills required for driving, including vision, cognition, physical capacity, coordination, reaction time, and decision-making, as well as how medical or age-related changes may impact driving. Following the assessment, we provide clear recommendations and a practical plan to improve safety and promote community access.

Functional Capacity Assessments and Reports

We complete comprehensive functional capacity assessments, including psychosocial functional capacity assessments, to clearly identify strengths, support needs, and recommended services. We provide high-quality, evidence-informed reports for NDIS access, plan reviews, change of circumstances, and support justification, with a strong focus on real-world functioning.

Physiotherapy Assessment & Treatment

We provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to identify strengths, physical support needs, and recommended interventions. We deliver high-quality, evidence-informed treatment plans and progress reporting to support rehabilitation goals, ongoing capacity building, and funding requirements where applicable, with a strong focus on real-world mobility, safety, and everyday function.

Home, Environment, and Assistive Supports

We provide practical recommendations to optimise the home environment for independence and participation. This may include assistive technology and equipment guidance, environmental and sensory adjustments, and home organisation systems that reduce overwhelm and support daily living.

Carer, Family, and Support Worker Training

We provide training and coaching for carers and support teams to help embed strategies consistently in everyday settings. This includes practical support for routines, communication approaches, de-escalation strategies, sensory strategies, and confidence-building to strengthen outcomes over time.

Aged Care OT and Healthy Ageing Support

We support older adults to maintain safety, independence, and quality of life at home and in the community. Our aged care services include functional assessments, falls risk screening and prevention strategies, home safety recommendations, equipment advice, and practical routines to support mobility, self-care, and cognitive changes.
